VI COMMANDO

Cpl. Frank William “Bill” Allen, formerly of the Gordons, served with No.6 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 7^th August 1941. He is noted as being a Corporal with No.2 Troop in post-April 1945

It is reported that a ‘Bill’ Allen had valiantly but unsuccessfully tried to save L/Cpl. Norman Hunter from being killed whilst mountaineering in Scotland in 1941.
